What do you want to remember when you look back on your wedding day?
The day that you get married will be one of the most cherished days that you will ever have. You’ve planned a long time for this day and you’re filled with excitement. Your family and friends will gather around while you and your best friend make a lifelong commitment with a foundation in that same love that you two had at the very beginning.
Yet, somehow stronger.
We got married at a young age and probably many people thought that we were crazy. Colton was only 21 and Mallory was only 19. God knew that we were meant for each other and He blessed us with that knowledge as well. We’re not only still happily married after all this time, but we are still best friends.

There’s a reason we want you to know who we are from the very beginning, and what we believe about marriage. It matters. Your marriage matters. Your wedding day is beautiful, sacred, and unforgettable. But a healthy, lasting marriage is more than one day, it’s working together on it long after you get in your getaway car and head to your destination as a newly married couple. Sometimes, the best way to remember why you chose the person next to you is to look back at where it all began.

Trust us, the maternity phase goes by way too fast!
Your baby will be here before you know it. You’ve done all you can to prepare for the arrival of your little one. The nursery is ready, the laundry is done, the house is clean, and your family is ready to stay at your house for a couple days.
Yet, you wait.
The internet convinces you that you are doing everything wrong, the baby doesn’t have enough clothes, and you are pretty sure that your number one plan for delivery is what will actually happen.
Yet, you wait.
Every night before you go to bed, as the due date approaches, you wonder, “How did this go so fast?” With all of the unknowns, with all of the firsts, and with all of the changes, why would you spend this time not documenting it? This will be the one and only time that you are pregnant with this child. Hang that picture on the wall. Show your kid one day him/her when he/she was brewing. Take the photos. You won’t regret it.

How has it been a year already?
We had our first kid in 2025. As we’re writing this, he just turned one. How in the world is he one already?! What they say is true, the days go by long and the years go by fast!
And.. we watched him grow.
When our son, Ansel, first arrived, it was obvious we had no idea what we were doing! We asked for advice from family, friends, and plenty of Google searches were made.
And… we watched him grow.
We were busy doing laundry, running a business, being involved in our church, being intentional the best we could with friends and family, and all of the other things that are involved in just everyday life, and before we knew it…. POOF he had his first birthday party!
And… we watched him grow.
You would think, being photographers, we would have lots of newborn pictures of Ansel, but we don’t! Outside of a few from the hospital and a monthly photo taken at home, we don’t have many professional pics of the little man. The newborn phase goes by sooooooo fast. Don’t miss taking pictures of your little man or little lady in this phase. And if you’re interested in having one of us be there to capture the birth of your precious newborn, let us know! We’d be happy to see if that can fit into our calendar!

Your kids go through many different phases, likes, dislikes, styles, and just about anything else you can think of. Kids decide one minute they all of a sudden want to grow three inches, or in the sneakiness of the day-to-day, their faces change ever so slightly.
