Colton and Mallory Carr, a husband and wife photo video team for families and weddings, based out of Iowa

We’re so glad that you found us and we can’t wait to meet you. We’re a husband and wife photo video team out of the Iowa City area that focuses on weddings, maternity, newborns,  and families. Look around at our portfolio, read testimonials, and when you’re ready, introduce yourself.

What do you want to remember when you look back on your wedding day?

The day that you get married will be one of the most cherished days that you will ever have. You’ve planned a long time for this day and you’re filled with excitement. Your family and friends will gather around while you and your best friend make a lifelong commitment with a foundation in that same love that you two had at the very beginning.

Yet, somehow stronger.

We got married at a young age and probably many people thought that we were crazy. Colton was only 21 and Mallory was only 19. God knew that we were meant for each other and He blessed us with that knowledge as well. We’re not only still happily married after all this time, but we are still best friends.

Yet, somehow stronger.

There’s a reason that we feel it important that you get to know a little about us right away and our value of marriage. It matters. Your marriage matters. Yes, your wedding day is special, cherished, and unique, but the health of your marriage is so much more than one day. Sometimes the best way to remember why you’re married to the person sitting next to you is by looking back on your wedding day. Whether you decide to get photos and video or just one of the two, we are sure that you will love your forever glimpse into that special day.

A bride with long dark hair, a floral crown, and earrings looks at her groom as she wipes her eye, outdoors on a cloudy day. The groom has a beard and wears a brown suit.
A smiling bride with a lace wedding dress and curly blonde hair, standing next to an older woman with brown hair, both indoors with soft lighting.
They are a husband-wife team who fit right in with your family and friends, who bring the energy and fun to recording your wedding day, who are so talented, who are your cheerleader, hype man, friend, second pair of hands, kleenex holder, tear wiper, and sense of direction all in one.

Family Sessions

Your family is who you do life with. Your family photos should be updated year after year to have a record of your family through all of the good and bad. We have a blast with every family photography session and if you want a short video of the in-between moments, let us know and we’ll make it happen.

Two children, boy and girl, smiling and hugging outdoors on a grassy area with trees in the background, sunny day.
A family of four, including a woman, a man, and two children, standing outdoors near a river with trees in the background, smiling and posing for a photo.
A happy couple embraces outdoors during daytime, with trees and a pathway in the background.
A family of three, a woman, a man, and a young girl, playing and smiling outdoors in a grassy field with trees in the background.
A woman and a young girl share a moment outdoors, with the girl touching the woman's pregnant belly, both smiling. The image is in black and white.

Eden absolutely loves her sister, even while still in her mommy’s tummy. This little girl was the sweetest. These candid moments during a family photography session are so much fun. We will pose your family for the traditional pictures to hang on your wall or your fridge, but these sweet moments during your session unprompted are the best.

It was such a fun process and when done with photos, our kids (7 and 9) said “that was a lot more fun than I thought it would be!
